A consortium of Jewish groups and Queens elected officials will rally Thursday morning in support of Israel, which has been targeted by hundreds of rockets on its populated cities by Hamas terrorists.
The press conference will be held at 9:45 a.m. in front of Queens Borough Hall and will be attended by Borough President Melinda Katz.
“Day after day, night after night, Israelis have been living lives of incredible anxiety as their nation faces a constant barrage of rocket attacks fired by Hamas, a terrorist organization whose publicly stated goal is to destroy the State of Israel,” Katz said. “No nation can be expected to tolerate such attacks. We therefore support Israel as it exerts its right to defend itself.”
Also in attendance will be representatives of the Israeli Consulate, local Jewish groups, and members of the clergy from various denominations.
