New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Tuesday made a low-key endorsement of a fellow Republican candidate, The Associated Press reported. The state GOP released a statement from Christie backing Jeff Bell’s bid against incumbent Democrat Cory Booker, saying Bell has been a “consistent and strong voice for promoting the important fiscal policies and pro-growth agenda that our country so badly needs.”
