Astorino Wants an Anti-Common Core Ballot Line

Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino said Tuesday that critics of New York’s new educational standards should voice their concerns by voting on a new ballot line called “Stop Common Core.” Petitions are circulating to add the line, which Astorino says would allow voters to support his challenge to Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo without casting a Republican vote.
