150 Become U.S. Citizens at New York Public Library
Immigrants from 46 countries were sworn in as U.S. citizens at a ceremony Wednesday at the New York Public Library, The Associated Press reported. The 150 new citizens took their oath in a room where a copy of the Declaration of Independence in Thomas Jefferson’s own hand is on display. New York Lt. Gov. Robert Duffy told them to work hard and “love this country like we all do.”
