NYC Strikes a Deal With 2 Labor Unions

NEW YORK

Mayor Bill de Blasio on Wednesday struck a deal with two out of the nearly 150 municipal labor unions working for years under expired contracts. About 10,000 workers with the New York State Nurses Association and 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East will get raises stretched out through 2018 that will cost $879.3 million.
