960K NYers Signed Up for Obamacare

More than 960,000 New York residents have signed up for insurance under the state’s new health plan marketplace, mandated by the federal Obamacare law, during its first enrollment period, the state said in a report Wednesday. During the enrollment period ending April 15, 55 percent enrolled in Medicaid, with 81 percent previously uninsured.
