NY Senate Passes Bills Protecting Women’s Rights
New York’s Republican-led Senate on Monday passed three bills that would prevent discrimination against women based on family status, help domestic violence victims and ensure equal pay regardless of gender, The Associated Press reported. Members of the Assembly are requesting that the bills be broken up and passed individually since the controversial parts of their 10-point Women’s Equality Agenda were not included.
