Court: No Pay for Time it Takes Police to Dress
Teaneck police officers will not get paid for the time it takes to put on their uniforms or attend roll call, a federal appeals panel ruled Tuesday, dismissing a 2009 suit by 88 current and former cops who claimed they were cheated out of overtime pay, The Star-Ledger reported. Mayor Mohammed Hameeduddin said the “sad part” is paying $500,000 in public funds to defend the lawsuit.
