Court: No Pay for Time it Takes Police to Dress

NEW YORK

Teaneck police officers will not get paid for the time it takes to put on their uniforms or attend roll call, a federal appeals panel ruled Tuesday, dismissing a 2009 suit by 88 current and former cops who claimed they were cheated out of overtime pay, The Star-Ledger reported. Mayor Mohammed Hameeduddin said the “sad part” is paying $500,000 in public funds to defend the lawsuit.
