Man Hits 143 MPH During Police Chase

A man led cops Sunday night on a chase over rural roads that topped 140 mph, The Associated Press reported. A deputy in Erie County tried pulling over Joseph Gambino for speeding but he sped away, passing cars on hillcrests and hitting 143 mph in a 45-mph zone. He was stopped at an intersection and jailed on multiple charges.
