NY Lawmakers Warned on Corruption Panel Files

ALBANY -

New York legislators were asked Tuesday by a federal prosecutor to preserve any material relating to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s defunct anti-corruption commission, including memos, correspondence, emails and text messages, the Associated Press reported. The Moreland Commission was disbanded by Cuomo after the Legislature passed new laws to toughen bribery prosecutions, but U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara acquired its documents.
