De Blasio: We Must Help Homeless Veterans

NEW YORK -

Reminiscing about his own father, a World War II veteran, Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Monday he wants to end “the reality of veterans who are homeless,” The Associated Press reported. De Blasio spoke at a Memorial Day ceremony at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. Navy veteran Stanley Wright of the Bronx said he’s here today because somebody else probably took a bullet for him. He says the real heroes are those who “paid the ultimate sacrifice.”
