7 New WWI Names Added To Village’s Memorial
The names of seven upstate New York men who died in World War I are being added to a war memorial in the suburban village of Solvay, the Post-Standard reported. Among the new names is John J. Hourihan, an Irish immigrant who enlisted in the Army in 1917 and was killed in October 1918, about a month before the war ended.
