N.Y. Doctors’ Group Wants Credentials on Display

ALBANY

A group representing New York doctors is urging the state Legislature to require medical practitioners  to display their licenses and credentials to patients, noting that “board certified” doesn’t always apply to their current specialty, The Associated Press reported. The bills would help end widespread confusion like believing an optometrist is a physician.
