Bush Skipped 9/11 Museum Event as Too Emotional
All the primary actors of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks were at the memorial museum’s opening Thursday — except for President George W. Bush. A museum source said it was because Bush feared the flood of emotion would be too much to bear, the Daily News reported. A spokesman blamed it on a “scheduling conflict,” but the source said the museum respected his reasons.
