NY Lists 51 Bridges Needing Upgrades
New York officials have identified 51 bridges statewide most at risk from repeated flooding, saying they need upgrades and retrofits that will cost more than $257 million, of which $193 million may be paid by the federal government, The Associated Press reported. They were built to the standards of their time but are now vulnerable from more intense weather.
