Senate OKs Tougher Hit-And-Run Penalties
The New York Senate on Wednesday voted to toughen penalties for drivers who leave the scene of an accident resulting in an injury, from up to one year in prison to as much as seven years, The Associated Press reported. The bill is pending in the Assembly.
