Syrians Jump Ship Into N.J. To Request Asylum

PENNSVILLE, N.J.

Two Syrian nationals were arrested Tuesday night after they jumped from a ship into the Delaware River to apply for asylum, the South Jersey Times reported. One was taken by the Coast Guard, while 18-year-old Omar Khalef was arrested by police.
