N.J. Spent Record Sums Plowing Roads This Winter
New Jersey spent a record amount — about half-billion dollars — clearing snow and ice from roads during this past winter, The Press of Atlantic City reported. Crews were dispatched for 50 storms or dangerous road conditions, and 496,000 tons of salt were used.
