De Blasio’s Daughter Gets DC Award for Speaking Out

NEW YORK

Mayor Bill de Blasio’s daughter on Tuesday received an award for speaking out about her substance abuse and recovery, The Associated Press reported. Upon accepting the award from Health and Human Service Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Chiara de Blasio, 19, thanked her parents and her 16-year-old brother for their support. She called it a miracle that a year later she is sober and healthy.
