A Muslim college wrestler in Buffalo who chose to sit on the sidelines rather than shave his beard was granted a waiver allowing him to compete with facial hair, the sports rules committee said Monday. Muhamed McBryde rejected a compromise that he be allowed to compete if he wears a face mask and chin strap.
