Most NY Obamacare Enrollees Got Subsidies
Nearly three-fourths of those insured through New York’s new health exchange are getting financial assistance from the government, a federal report released Thursday shows. Applicants with incomes up to 400 percent of the federal poverty line are eligible for tax credits to help offset premium payments. That means that 370,451 New Yorkers who enrolled before the March 31 deadline are being subsidized by taxpayers.
