Analysis: No Risk From Dropping Car Inspections

PARAMUS, N.J.

New Jersey has not seen a rise in car malfunctions since it stopped safety inspections in 2010, The Record reported. Vehicle malfunctions accounted for 2 percent of all accidents, the same as in the two years prior to when the Christie administration stopped safety checks to save $12 million a year.
