25-MPH Speed Limit Signs Going Up on Atlantic Ave

NEW YORK

An 8-mile stretch in Brooklyn and Queens will get new 25 mph speed limit signs as part of a campaign to reduce pedestrian fatalities, The Associated Press reported. The signs will be posted by the end of the month along Atlantic Avenue, where the current speed limit is 30 mph. There were 13 pedestrian deaths along the stretch from 2008 to 2012.
