NJ Bill Would Protect Speed Trap Alert
Motorists who flash their headlights to warn others about speed traps might be better shielded from tickets under a bill introduced Wednesday, the Star-Ledger reported. A 1999 court ruling said the law against misusing headlights “was never intended to prohibit a motorist from warning oncoming motorists that a speed trap lies ahead.” But officials say most people are unaware of the ruling.
