Upstate Honor Guard Earns National Award
A member of the New York Air National Guard has been named the Air National Guard’s Honor Guard Program Member of the Year, The Associated Press reported. Tech. Sgt. Amy Ough of Herkimer County has won the national award for her dedication to performing honor guard duties for local veterans’ funerals. She will now compete against the active duty Air Force and Air Force Reserve winners for the Honor Guard member award for the entire U.S. Air Force.
