NYPD Sends 2 Dogs to Aid in Washington Mudslide

NEW YORK

The NYPD has sent two dogs to help with recovery efforts at the Washington state mudslide, the Wall Street Journal reported. German shepherds Hondo and Timoshenko flew to the West Coast with their police handlers on Thursday as part of “New York Task Force 1,” a disaster response team. The March 22 mudslide claimed 30 lives. Fifteen people remain missing.
