50 Years on, World’s Fair to Open for Three Hours

NEW YORK

The long-shuttered New York State Pavilion in Queens will be open to the public for three hours next month for the 50th anniversary of the 1964 World’s Fair, CBS reported. The Flushing Meadows-Corona Park structure will be open between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on April 22. Hardhats must be worn and will be provided. The “Tent of Tomorrow” pavilion was built to showcase the Empire State. It features three space-age towers accessible by capsule elevators.
