Brooklyn’s Gowanus Canal Among Proposals for Historic Sites
Brooklyn’s Gowanus Canal, an old railway signal factory in Buffalo and a Hudson Valley post office are among 21 places around New York state nominated for historic designation by Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Adding the 21 recommended sites to the State and National Registers of Historic Places makes them eligible for grants and tax credits.
