Fate Uncertain for NYC Homelessness Funds

The City Council is asking Albany to allow New York City to use state funds to pay for a rental subsidy program for the homeless even though the state budget prohibits it, The Associated Press reported. But Gov. Andrew Cuomo said it was “too late” in the budget process. De Blasio said later there had been a “miscommunication” with Albany and vowed to resolve it.
