NJ Jury: Stuffed Animal on Mirror Caused Accident

TRENTON, N.J.

The estate of a New Jersey woman injured by a car was awarded $378,000 after a jury determined that the driver was negligent, in part, due to a Garfield stuffed animal hanging from the rearview mirror, the Times of Trenton reported. Ellen Henkle’s was disabled from the March 9, 2006 crash. She died four years later of natural causes.
