Some parts of the New Jersey shore have 7 inches of fresh snow on the ground from a late-winter storm, with Lakewood getting 3 inches.

By midmorning, skies were clearing and the winter weather warning that had covered the central part of the state was canceled. A warning remained in effect in five southern New Jersey Counties.

Classes were delayed or canceled at schools across the southern half of New Jersey.
