Former Firefighter Admits Setting Station Fires

A former firefighter admitted he deliberately set numerous small fires in a Glens Falls firehouse, The Post-Star reported. The guilty plea came after William Smith, 23, was confronted with recorded jail phone calls in which he admitted setting fires in electrical outlets in 2012. Smith agreed to an eight-year prison term and to make restitution.
