De Blasio: Crime Dropped Since He Became Mayor
Mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday that crime has dropped since he took over in January. Homicides dropped 21 percent, shootings 14 percent, and overall crime by 2 percent. He conceded that the cold weather and snowstorms contributed to the drop.
