Head of NYC’s Sandy Reconstruction Steps Down

NEW YORK

The head of New York City’s Sandy rebuilding program, Kathryn Mallon, has stepped down, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Thursday. Build It Back, a $648 million aid federally-funded program, was supposed to provide one-on-one help but has been criticized for failing to distribute money to homeowners.
