Bill Seeks to Add More Retail at NJ Rest Stops

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

A bill moving through New Jersey’s Legislature envisions more shopping on the state’s toll roads, The Press of Atlantic City reported. It’s part of a move to squeeze more revenue out of the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey Turnpike and Atlantic City Expressway without raising tolls or taxes. Just 12 stops on the Turnpike and nine on the Parkway generate $35 million a year.
