NY GOP Convention to Be Held in Astorino’s Backyard
Republicans will hold their annual convention in mid-May at a hotel in Westchester County, the home turf of likely standard-bearer Rob Astorino, Capital New York reported. At the gathering, party leaders will designate their endorsed slate for statewide offices, including the heavily watched contest for governor. Both Astorino and Donald Trump say they are considering the race to take on Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a popular Democrat.
