Palestinians Shot in Gaza Border Breach
An Israeli army spokeswoman said a group of Palestinian men entered the security zone on the border between northern Gaza and Israel on Thursday. According to the spokeswoman, they began to sabotage the security fence.
IDF soldiers dispatched to the area attempted to persuade the Palestinians to leave.
When they refused, the soldiers opened fire, striking one or possibly two suspects. The Palestinians then evacuated the area.
According to the Palestinian Ma’an News Agency, Ibrahim Suleiman Mansour, 26, was the man killed by the IDF fire.
The second man, a 21-year-old, suffered moderate wounds to his right foot in the incident, according to Ma’an.
