John Liu, a former New York City comptroller, may challenge Rep. Nydia Velazquez, a fellow Democrat, in her district that includes Williamsburg, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reported. The heavily Hispanic district favors the incumbent but also includes Chinatown, which the Taiwanese-born Liu won during his failed Democratic mayoral primary last year.
