Cuomo Clarifies ‘Extreme Conservative’ Comments
Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday defended comments he made last month that inflamed Republicans by suggesting anyone who was for moral values or against gun control was not welcome in New York, Politicker reported. “I was not saying anyone should leave the state, right?” he said. “And anyone who heard the comments knows that’s not what I was saying. … We have people all along the spectrum and it’s one of the things that makes New York special. We can agree to disagree and everyone has a right to an opinion.”
