The Israeli military says it has carried out an airstrike on a Palestinian terrorist in the Gaza Strip. A Gaza health official says the terrorist was critically wounded.

The military says it targeted Abdallah Kharti on Sunday. It says he is affiliated with the Popular Resistance Committees terror group, and planned and carried out numerous rocket attacks on Israel.

Gaza health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Kidra says Kharti is in critical condition.

According to the Israeli military, 33 rockets have been launched from Gaza toward Israel since the beginning of the year.
