New York Grape Growers to Benefit From Fed Purchase

ALBANY

The Agriculture Department will spend $11.5 million to buy Concord grape juice for use in domestic nutrition programs such as school lunches, buying out a surplus of New York Concord grapes, the state’s two U.S. senators said. New York has 281 growers and over 9,700 acres of Concord vineyards.
