NY Regulators OK National Grid Electricity Credit
New York’s Public Service Commission authorized National Grid to provide its customers with a $32 million credit to offset an increase in electric supply costs. The price surges expected in February because of unusually cold weather would have spiked bills for upstate customers by as much as 27 percent. National Grid wants to use the one-time credit to keep rates in February the same as those in effect in January.
