De Blasio Vows ‘Flurry’ of Appointments Next Week

NEW YORK -

Stung by criticism that his administration has been the slowest to shape up in decades, Mayor Bill de Blasio promised Wednesday to make a “flurry” of appointments next week, the Daily News reported. The historically slow staffing has led to confusion at many agencies, including at Finance, Parks, Fire and Sanitation, who are still led by holdovers from the Bloomberg era and are not sure if they will stay on.
