Dell CFO Gladden Leaving the Company

ROUND ROCK, Texas (AP) —

Dell’s chief financial officer, Brian Gladden, is leaving the computer company to pursue other career interests.

Dell Inc. named Thomas Sweet as Gladden’s successor. Sweet, 54, was also named senior vice president. He currently serves as vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer.

Gladden has served as senior vice president and CFO since 2008. He will remain at Dell through the end of February to help with the transition process.

In October, company founder Michael Dell and investment firm Silver Lake Partners completed their $24.9 billion buyout of Dell, taking the company private.
