NYC Site Mistakenly Named Bridge for Dinkins

NEW YORK

The official New York City website mistakenly named a bridge after former Mayor David Dinkins, the Daily News reported. The Willis Avenue Bridge over the Harlem River was mislabeled the “David Dinkins-Willis Avenue Bridge” on the site that provides updates on snow removal, 311 complaints and building information. While a bill was introduced in 2012 calling for the name change, it died without coming up for a City Council vote. Dinkins quipped Wednesday that he’d be “flattered if they named a lamppost after me.”
