Ex-NY Rep. Otis Pike Dies at 92 in Florida
Former New York Democratic Rep. Otis Pike died Monday in Florida at age 92, The Associated Press reported. Pike served 18 years in Congress before retiring in 1978. His Pike Committee in the 1970s was seen as the first significant House probe of the U.S. intelligence community since the CIA’s creation in 1947. A pilot in the Pacific during WWII, he is survived by his wife and two children.
