Kollel Student Stabbed on Shabbos in Kiev
A kollel yungerman was stabbed in Kiev on Friday night on his way home from shul.
It was the second attack on a Jewish target in the Ukrainian capital in under a week.
Three youths ambushed the victim as he made his way home from services at a shul in the Podil neighborhood, according to Hatzalah Ukraine.
The assailants beat their victim, Dov Ber Glickman, 28, before stabbing him three times in the feet and fleeing, Chabad shaliach Rabbi Moshe Reuven Asman said.
Glickman made his way back to the shul where he collapsed. He was taken to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery on his foot.
Hatzalah Ukraine called for increased security at shul in response to the recent “serious anti-Semitic incidents.”
