De Blasio Names Head of Watchdog Agency

Mayor Bill de Blasio on Saturday named his former campaign treasurer to run the city Department of Investigation, which investigates corruption and official misconduct. The nomination of Mark Peters, who previously served as chief of the Public Corruption Unit at the state attorney general’s office, awaits a City Council vote to replace Rose Gill Hearn.
