2 Flu-Related Deaths Confirmed in Central NY

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -

Two Syracuse residents have died of complications from H1N1, the flu strain that’s hitting young and middle-aged adults hard this year, said Onondaga County Health Commissioner Cynthia Morrow. Both were middle-aged adults with underlying health conditions. The H1N1 strain caused an influenza pandemic in 2009. This year’s vaccine protects against it.
