Yahoo COO Is Leaving, No Replacement Named
Yahoo says Chief Operating Officer Henrique de Castro is leaving the company, effective Thursday.
In a Wednesday filing, the internet company did not name a replacement or give a reason for de Castro’s departure.
He was named Yahoo Inc.’s COO in October 2012, three months after Marissa Mayer came on as CEO. Like Mayer, he had previously worked at Google Inc.
De Castro managed Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Yahoo’s sales, media, business development and operations.
